Refund policy
All items purchased at a reduced price, including sale, clearance, discounted items, mystery boxes, and bundles, are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund. Orders placed during sale periods cannot be cancelled.
All returns must meet the criteria below. Returns that do not meet these criteria may be declined. We encourage conscious consumption, so please take a moment to consider your purchase carefully.
Return criteria
Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. Return requests outside of this window will not be accepted.
The item must be in original condition: unused, unwashed, tags attached, in the protective dust bag, with all protective cardboards, wrappings, care card, and fillers included. Returns will not be accepted if any part of the product or packaging is damaged or missing.
If your order is placed outside of New Zealand, approved returns for full-priced items are issued as store credit, or can be refunded to the original payment method, less a 7% restocking fee.
Approved returns for full-priced items ordered within New Zealand are issued as store credit or a refund to your original payment method.
Exemptions
- Items deemed damaged due to general wear and tear or everyday treatment/accidents will not be considered for a return.
- All items purchased at a reduced price, including sale, clearance, discounted items, mystery boxes, and bundles, are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.
- Please note that for sanitary reasons, earrings cannot be returned.
1. Email us
If you meet our return criteria, you can begin the return process by emailing support@latetoworkstudio.com within 7 days of delivery with:
- ‘Return’ in the subject line
- Your order number
- Reason for return, and
- 3-4 clear images showing the item from different angles so we can match your product to the proof of purchase
Once we have approved your return, we will send you a return address and instructions.
2. Send back your return
Please note, all returns must be sent back to our New Zealand Studio in order to be processed correctly. We cannot accept returns to any other addresses.
Please send the item within 5 days and email us with a tracking number. If we don’t receive tracking confirmation within this timeframe, the return request will be closed.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Any gifts or promotional items received with your purchase must be included in the return.
3. Receive store credit or refund
Once we receive the returned item, its condition will be carefully reviewed by our team.
If approved, full-priced items may be returned for store credit, or a refund less 7% restocking fee. A full refund of the purchase price of the item is available for New Zealand orders only.
Original shipping costs and shipping protection are non-refundable. Discounted items are final sale and not eligible for return.
If the item does not meet our return policy, it will be returned to your original order address at your expense.
Cancelling your order
Orders placed during sale periods cannot be cancelled.
Pre-orders can be cancelled before the order has been processed or entered production. Once processing begins, pre-order cancellations are not possible.
For all other orders, please email us at support@latetoworkstudio.com as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request; however, cancellations are not guaranteed.
Cancelled orders can be refunded as store credit, or back to your original payment method (minus 7% fee).
Manufacturing Faults
While we make every effort to accurately represent the colour of our products in our images, please be aware that slight variations in colour may occur due to individual screen settings and calibration, which are not indicative of a manufacturing fault.
For bags, manufacturing faults do not include general wear and tear such as scuffing, scratches, creasing, fading, or softening of leather. Damage caused by overloading the bag, such as strain on straps, stretched hardware, or broken seams, is not considered a manufacturing fault. Consistent overpacking or carrying heavy items may lead to natural wear over time. Please note that variations in texture, grain, or finish are part of the leather’s natural character and not defects.
For jewellery, manufacturing faults do not include broken chains, chipped, cracked or broken gemstones, general wear and tear including items that have been bent out of shape, twisted or snapped, oxidised or scratched. It is normal for silver jewellery to tarnish over time. Please be aware that jewellery described as 'vintage finish' is designed to tarnish quicker.
Adjustable rings are designed to be gently sized once for best fit. Repeated adjustments can weaken the band or loosen the stone setting, and damage from this is not considered a fault.
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can resolve this as quickly as possible. In the unlikely event that your item is faulty, email us at support@latetoworkstudio.com with:
- ‘Manufacturing fault’ in the subject line
- Order number
- Description and photos of the issue
Late to Work will cover return shipping costs if the item is deemed faulty or the wrong item was received.
